Masod Sadipour’s paper, A Whole-Heart Fluid–Structure Interaction Model for Transcatheter Mitral Valve Repair in Primary Mitral Regurgitation, which is co-authored by Marshall Davey and David Wells, has been accepted for publication in the Annals of Biomedical Engineering. This study was also done in collaboration with Arash Kheradvar at UC Irvine and John Vavalle at UNC School of Medicine.

This paper uses our group’s whole-heart fluid-structure interaction (FSI) model to simulate chordal rupture and transcatheter edge-to-edge repair in primary mitral regurgitation. To our knowledge, it is the first whole-heart FSI study of transcatheter mitral valve repair.

Congratulations, Masod!
